7-8-23 Music in Maryland David Zinman on the day before his 87th birthday!
David Zinman turns 87 on Sunday 7/9! His years with the BSO from 1985 – 1998 were some of the best years of the Baltimore Symphony. After he left here (never to return to conduct the BSO again) he conducted the Tonhalle Orchestra in Zurich and did great work there. It is worth celebrating the amazing recordings that we have from these two orchestras and also celebrate Mahler’s birthday on July 7th.
