Well boys and girls it’s two days before Halloween and we are broadcasting a concert featuring scary baroque and baroque like music.  On the program tonight…

The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe

Bertali: Chiacona

Marais: The Gallbladder Operation…very scary!

Froberger: Tombeau on the death of Mr. Blancheroche

Whear: The Cask of Amontillado

Before that we are presenting selections from a concert entitled ‘We’ll Always have Paris”

French baroque music by Marin Marais, Leclair, Barriere. With Sarah Cunningham, viola de gamba. Cynthia Roberts, violin; Allen Whear, cello; Leon Schelhase, harpsichord.

On a very sad note Allen Whear the Director of Pro Musica Rara passed away this year after a prolonged battle with cancer.  We are dedicating tonight’s Music in Maryland to his memory.  We all miss his amazing intellect, wit and fine musicianship.
