Beethoven 1808 “Monster” Concert
213 years ago, on December 22, 1808 Ludwig van Beethoven put on a benefit concert for himself. It was his last public performance as a pianist with orchestra. The concert included all new music by Beethoven and lasted 4 hours, from 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM.
