Beethoven 1808 “Monster” Concert
212 years ago, on December 22, 1808 Ludwig van Beethoven put on a benefit concert for himself. It was his last public performance as a pianist with orchestra. The concert included all new music by Beethoven and lasted 4 hours, from 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM.
Join Jonathan Palevsky and me for a musical re-creation of LVB’s “Monster Concert” in length, not in temperature. We also hope to raise money for WBJC in the amount of $5,000. Since this year marks Beethoven’s 250th birthday anniversary, we thought it would be fun to double that amount and add an extra 0.
