8-17-19 Music in Maryland…This England!

By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Music In Maryland | No Comments

This week we are headed to the UK and celebrating music of both of the golden ages of England.  The Baltimore Consort has a new CD entitled The Food of Love which has music inspired and excerpted from Shakespeare’s plays.  It’s fantastic to have a new CD by the Baltimore Consort!  I also included some lute duets courtesy of TBC lutenist Ronn McFarlane and lutenist William Simms.  Both are excelent Sono Luminus CD’s.

In contrast we have music by Sir Edward Elgar.  We have the pleasure of two of his greatest pieces the Symphony No.  1 and the Enigma variations.
