7-22-17 Music In Maryland Happy Birthday Leon Fleisher!

By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Music In Maryland | No Comments

Leon Fleisher turns 89 tomorrow!  Frankly we are lucky to have him in Charm City!  I decided to shell out some cash and buy the Sony box set of his recordings so I could share them with the WBJC audience.  I also threw in the Britten with the BSO as it seemed appropriate.   This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what this man has done…but it makes for 2 hours of fine listening!
