Music From Movies 11-20-16
In 1939 Aaron Copland wrote his earliest film music for “The City,” not to be confused with “Quiet City.” The City is a quasi-documentary about getting out of coal mining towns and big cities and moving to the idyllic community of Greenbelt, Maryland. Music from “The City” as well as music by other American composers will be offered on this evening’s Music from Movies!
