This week Kati Harrison is sitting in for Mary Zajac for three reasons. 1)Mary is on Vacation. 2)We have been running lots of repeats lately. 3)I bought two fabulous whites for her book club which screamed to be reviewed.
1)2014 Chateau Granville Lacoste. Graves (White Bordeaux; 75% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle.) $15. Herve Dubourdieu owner and winemaker. Imported by Kermit Lynch. 12% alchohol. This was a super drinkable high but not crazy in acid with nice body and fruit to balance it. Superb for Summer.
2)2014 Domaine Des Fines Caillotes. Pouilly Fume. (100% Sauvignon Blanc. Loire Valley) Jean Pabiot Et Fils (& sons). $15. This was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who tasted it. This was an opulent and delicious SB with more than enough acid to make for a good structure. Good anytime of year with Asian food, shell fish or your best friend.
Here’s our show! Enjoy!
