4-9-16 Music In Maryland Daraja Wind Quintet!

By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Music In Maryland | No Comments

This week I had the pleasure of interviewing the Daraja Wind Quintet who are the current fellowship quartet at UMCP.  They were wonderful guests and brought along some nice recordings!

We have the pleasure of hearing 3 works.  Sacred And Profane Dances by Henri Tomasi, The Serenade For Winds by Andre Jolivet and the Wind Quintet by Theodor Blumer.  (A WBJC Premiere!)

After the Daraja I played a really nice performance of Elgar’s first symphony with the Baltimore Symphony.  Hope you enjoyed the show!
