4-16-16 Music In Maryland St. David’s Bach Marathon and More!

By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Music In Maryland | No Comments

Every year for the past 40 St. David’s Episcopal Church in Roland Park has presented their Bach Marathon.  Their choir director Douglas Buchanan was kind enough to send me the final performances of this year (Aus Der Tiefe Rufe Ich BWV 131) and last year (Jesu Meine Freude BW V 227).  We are pleased to air them both.  Unfortunately, you (and I) have missed this year’s marathon but hopefully we will both get there next year!

After some great Bach we aired some new (to us!) recordings of music by Baltimore composer Jonathan Leshnoff and performances by the Murasaki Duo.  Here are the listings.
