This week’s word on Wine’s provocative title is actually not a cheap attempt to get your interest it’s actually the name of a winery! But more on that later. We have two super nice whites one from Oregon and another from the Languedoc!
1)2010 Cristom Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley, Oregon. The Willamette Valley should be exalted for this wine. Not your usual blas Pinot Gris this one had some nice body and was more pinot less gris! $21? I would!
2)2011 Mas Des Dammes Grenache Blanc. $23. First off the name! Mas des Dammes means farms of women! I am trying so hard not to say binders! This adventurous winery apparently features three generations of beautiful daughters! Works for me…not so much for MZ! Either way this was a great wine. Mas Des Dammes is located near Beziers and is doing great work. $23 but a nice solid lean experience. You will enjoy even without the catchy title! Check out our show we had fun!
