Bruce Nelson talks HARVEY at Everyman Theatre

Local legend and longtime Everyman Theatre company member Bruce Nelson joined me to share his thoughts on playing the iconic role of Elwood Dowd in Mary Chase’s beloved, Pulitzer Prize-winning 1945 comedy, Harvey.

Made famous by the film starring Jimmy Stewart, and featuring an invisible (possibly imaginary) anthropomorphic rabbit, the play offers slapstick and hijinks a-plenty but–as Bruce notes–also offers more thoughtful, insightful, and poignant reflections to leaven the humor.
