You now join the ranks of proud, supporting members who all do their part to keep classical music alive and well on the air in Maryland (and on the internet stream too!)
A special THANK YOU to those of you who answered our request to mail in your gift prior to the drive. You don’t get your acknowledgement on the air, but you are deeply appreciated.
We were looking to raise $135,000 this drive and YOU pledged $139,296! We’re off to a solid, healthy start this fiscal year and we have ALL OF YOU to thank. As you probably heard (many, many times): Membership now makes up %70 of our operating budget.
A warm THANK YOU to our volunteers! I don’t think there’s a single employee here at WBJC that loves doing these pledge drives (especially because we aren’t playing music), but the volunteers make the drive easier and downright enjoyable at times. It’s a bit like a family gathering really, with the food and laughter. We do have a great time in Pledge Central! (Personally, I love seeing the knitting/crochet projects… we have some really talented folks!)
Over the next few weeks, the Membership Department (Yvonne Allen, myself, a handful of interns and two volunteers) will be busily processing these pledges, entering everyone into the database, packaging and sending your thank you gifts and generally getting the business done. If you didn’t select a premium when you made your pledge, DON’T WORRY! A premium list will be automatically sent to you once we get your pledge processed. If you picked one before that happens, please zip us an email and we’ll take care of you.
If you were driving and asked to be billed, and now you’d like to charge your pledge through the website, please write something in the notes area of the online form letting us know so we can match up your phone-pledge and e-pledge. Easy as pie!
