Launched in 1931, the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday matinee broadcasts are the longest-running continuous classical music program in radio history!
When we’re not airing the Metropolitan Opera, the WBJC Operafest features performances from great opera companies such as: Lyric Opera of Chicago, LA Opera On Air, San Francisco Opera, The Houston Grand Opera, Vienne State Opera, and the Bayreuth Festival.
Join us a half hour prior to the opera for the WBJC Opera Preview with Jonathan Palevsky.
