Winter Pledge Drive wrap-up!

WOW!

That’s really all I can say about the outstanding response to this extremely short pledge drive… WOW!

YOU ended the drive 11 hours early and returned us to music. We said we’d stop the drive as soon as we reached the goal, and YOU made it happen. Give yourselves a standing ovation!!

We set a goal of $100,000 and gave ourselves 3 whole days to raise that amount. We didn’t do a pre-drive mailing, but we did ask Challenge donors to step up… and boy did they! We had nearly $30,000 put on the table to match members’ donations, and for the first time, we tried a Triple Match period to perk up the normally slow mid-day hours. It was a resounding success! That 3-hour challenge alone brought in over $12,000.

Here’s the numbers for the nerds:

total made: $101,741   (goal of $100,000)
total pledges: 599
new members: 90
sustainer pledges: 71
% online pledges: 43%

Since we ended the drive early, we missed out on some Challenge periods. Many of those donors have allowed us to save their challenge for the Spring drive, so we’re looking forward to that!

Now the Membership Department gets down to the business of processing everything. “Bill Me’s” have gone out in the mail. Acknowledgements are being printed and stuffed. Premiums are being ordered, so please give us 6 to 8 weeks to get those out. If you didn’t choose a premium at the time you pledge, and would like to add one, just send along an email to membership@wbjc.com and we’ll add it to your account. And if you have any questions or concerns about your pledge, just shoot us an email or a call at 410-580-5800, option Zero.

We here at WBJC remain humbled, grateful, and ever in awe of our amazing members. Thank you to each and every one of you who called in or pledged online. Thank you to the Challenge donors. Thank you to Willy and Elaine, who helped our hard-working staff out on the phones (thank you staff!) And thank you to the hosts, who somehow manage to keep the Drive interesting to listen to while doing the heavy lifting!
