THE TEMPEST TRIO - The Tempest TrioThe Mount Vernon Virtuosi

This evening we have the Tempest Trio for the first half and the Mount Vernon Virtuosi for the second!  Amit Peled is the cellist in the Tempest Trio and the conductor of the Mount Vernon Virtuosi.  The tempest trio concert from April 15, 2018 featured Vernstein’s Piano Trio, Bloch’s ‘From Jewish Life’ For Cello and Piano and Stutschewsky’s Hassidic Fantasy.  The trio is made up of pianist Alon Goldstein, violinist Ilya Kaler and cellist Amit Peled.

The second half featured live recordings of Mozart’s Second String Quintet arranged for orchestra and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.  9.  We used the BSO’s Tchaikovsky Romeo and Juliet to fill.
