6-16-18 Music In Maryland. Remembering Concert Artists and Sergiu Comissiona.
This week everyone at WBJC was saddened to learn that Concert Artists of Baltimore is disbanding after being a part of the Baltimore music scene for 30 years. Our thought go out to Edward Polochick and all the musicians. We have a few really nice studio recordings of Concert Artists which we are pleased to share with you this evening. It is also the birthday of former BSO Director Sergiu Comissiona who led the Baltimore Symphony for 15 years beginning in 1969. He transformed the municipal orchestra into a professional ensemble.
