By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Music In Maryland | No Comments

Very grateful to Peabody for these recordings!  Leon Fleisher conducted the Peabody Symphony on September 24, 2016 in Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Cello, Oboe and Bassoon and the Sibelius Symphony No.  1.  The soloists in the Haydn were violinist Shannon Fitzhenry, cellist Jiaoyang Xu, oboist Teresa Ching Lin and faculty artist bassoonist Philip Kolker.

To fill we used a recording with Leon Fleisher and the Emerson String Quartet.
