We invite you to join us as we visit Warsaw, Krakow and Prague - three of Central Europe’s most interesting and historical cities.
The old city center of Warsaw, completely destroyed in World War II, was lovingly rebuilt to the original plans, thereby preserving the heritage of freedom loving citizens.
Highlights of Warsaw include the Ghetto Memorial, the Chopin Memorial in Lazienki Park and the Soviet - built Palace of Culture, so grotesque that it has endeared itself to the local population.
Poland has a rich musical heritage. Each June the Warsaw Chamber Orchestra presents the annual Mozart Festival, showcasing the impressive operatic output of this prolific composer. In addition, there are staged concerts including concertos and symphonies. Festival performances will be part of our itinerary.
Krakow is the former Royal City with the splendid Royal Palace as well as St. Waclaw and Bishop Stanislaus Cathedral where Polish kings were buried. It is a striking and historic city, so ancient that parts were actually rebuilt in the 16th century.
Prague, the jewel of Eastern Europe, is the finale of our tour. From St. Vitus Cathedral and the famous Charles Bridge, to the old Jewish Quarter, Prague is a fairy land of beautiful scenery and architecture from another time. The new, vibrant Prague is a bustling, cosmopolitan city juxtaposed with a heritage of fine music and art.
