Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená has rocketed to international stardom and achieved extraordinary critical acclaim in concert, recital, and opera and was awarded the Chevalier de lOrdre des Arts des Lettres by the French Government in 2003 and was the 2004 Gramophone Awards Artist of the Year.
