Winter Pledge Drive Wrap-up
Thanks to all of you who called in your pledges or donated online during our amazingly successful Winter Pledge Drive! Not only did we surpass our monetary goal, our New Member count was really impressive!
In case you have wondered why we do these pledge drives, we have found that on-air pledge drives are the best, least expensive way to reach new members. Many people enjoy WBJC and never even realize that we need membership to support the station… that is, until we ask! Another way to go is purchasing mailing lists hoping that a significant amount of those on the list are listeners. Overall, the cost of a new member mailing is never fully recouped. But all our potential members are already listening! Mailings cost money, but to ask over the air costs us very little by comparison.
