If I didn’t know better, I would have said that this night’s programming in the 8-9PM hours was directed at me!! A Glazunov piece (to get my attention) followed by an obscure Russian/Chinese Flute Concerto??? Well, thank you for sharing to me tonight, I loved the concerto! (I am both flutist and musical Russophile) I will miss WBJC when I go back to college, I’ll listen online once in a while.

Thanks, Jenny. Glad to know I’m not the only Glazunov fan. I keep discovering more music by him I like. As for the Russian/Chinese piece, we’re always looking for good music off the beaten track, and the Russian composers seem to be an endless source of wonderful rarities.
