3-25-13 Word On Wine Whites From Portugal!
This week Mary and I begin our all too brief sampling of table wines from Portugal! None of these were expensive but all were good and some were very good. The reds next week! First the whites!
1)2010 Herdade Da Comporta. 65% Arinto and 35% Antau Vaz. This was a treat. Nice minerality and stoniness…good acid and a bit of brine!
2)2011 Parus from Herdade Da Comporta. 100% Antau Vaz. This was a tad less interesting. The finish fell off fast and it lacked the zing of the other wine. Nevertheless both were very interesting. Check out the show and order the wines if you can’t find them!
