10-21-13 Word On Wine Review…2 Very Reasonable White Wines!

By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Word on Wine | 2 Comments

This week Mary and I reviewed two wines both of which are around $10 one from France and the other from Italy!

1)2011 Leon Vatan – Sauvignon Vin de Pays de Loire.  For those not fluent in French…This is wine that is made of Sauvignon Blanc that could come from anywhere in the Loire.  $12.  Nicely priced and nicely marketed.  Leon Vatin also has a whole range of Loire offerings.

2)2012 Garganega Pinot Grigio.  $9  This was a blend of these two grapes.  Simple and delightful!  Here’s a picture so you can recognize the bottle!

Check out the show…Enjoy!
