POWER OUTAGE – Station on low power~
Hi listeners! Last night’s storms knocked out power at both our transmitter and studio sites.
Engineer Bob and Jonathan Palevsky have managed to scale downed trees and get the transmitter back on low-power. The studios remain on generator back-up (and we have no internet, so we are unable to update the playlist until I get my Droid phone into the studios.)
Thank you for your patience, and hang in there! You can still listen online from the front page or through Tunein radio.

UPDATE: Internet and phones are back at the studios… no ETA on power fix for either transmitter or studio sites. As soon as Engineer Bob checks in with me, I’ll post the news here.
Please be patient folks! There are many without power (hundreds of thousands!) and so we patiently wait our turn like everyone else.
**Please be aware, there are more storms being called for tonight.** Nothing as severe, but the weather people aren’t committing to any firm prediction. Be safe, stay cool and if you must venture out, treat dark traffic lights as a 4-way stop.
UPDATE to the UPDATE: as of 9pm, Engineer Bob says BGE still hasn’t been able to restore power to either of our locations. The transmitter in Pikesville is next to the pumping station at the Reservoir, and BGE is that both are without power… so this is promising! Water is a high priority, so maybe we’ll get some love too!
Very hard to weak up to static. Much nicer with your music playing.Hope your back on soon.
