Ladies and Gentlemen in these troubled times we are all looking for decent dinner wine!  Behold!  3 decent wines from beautiful Sicily which fit the bill.  The producer is Fondo Antico and they are located in Trapani.

Our first wine was Fondo Antico’s white blend I Versi Rossi.  This was made of 34% Grecanico, 33% Insola and 33% Grillo.  $10.  Zippy and invigorating, a nice way to enjoy the last few days of Summer.  Good Deck wine.

Our second wine was entitled Grillo Parlante.  Grillo is both the name of the grape and the word for cricket in Italian.  Grillo Parlante means The Talking Cricket!  $15.  Nice acid and grassy…Why not spend the extra $5 and give it a shot.

Finally, our third wine was Fondo Antico’s red blend I versi Rosso.  40% Nero D’avola, 40% Merlot and 20% Syrah.    $10.  Good Pizza Wine or a good wine for other hearty foods.
