8-6-2012 Word On Wine Review 2 Piemonte Whites and what the H*** is Erbaluce?

By Jonathan Palevsky | Posted in Host Blogs, Word on Wine | Comments Off

This week we reviewed 2 whites from Piemonte both of which are winners.

1)The 2010 La Torrazza, and the grape was Erbaluce Di Caluso.  The producer was Ferrando and the wine will set you back $21.  This was a complete surprise and a complete delight.  I had never heard of Erbaluce and definitely want to drink it again!

2)Our second wine was the 2011 Brovia Roero Arneis.  Arneis is a fabulous lacy white grape that is typical of the Piemonte region of Italy and this was another winner!  There is a little more Arneis available these days and that’s a good thing!  $25 a bottle and worth it!  Check out our enthusiastic  review by clicking below!
