Something for everyone this week who loves their Sauvignon Blanc this Summer! Mary and I reviewed three wines all of which were lovely examples of the noble grape from affordable to lavish!
1)2011 El Aromo Sauvignon Blanc from the Maule Valley in Chile $12. You can’t beat the price or the zippyness of this little gem!
2)2009 Domaine Pascal Jolivet Pouilly Fume. This will cost you a bit more at $40 but Pouilly Fume ain’t cheap! There isn’t a huge amount of production and this wine was made with care and was a nice elegant example.
3)2010 Pouilly Fume Indigene $70! Gewalt! It’s not cheap but if you want one of the great Loire Wines…open up that wallet! (Or just buy wine # 1 at $12!)
