This week Mary and I take a virtual (sadly) journey to Italy and visit beautiful Alba! We review two wines which use the characteristic Nebbiolo grape!
1)2010 Nebbiolo d’ Alba cuvee San Rocco from DeForville. $26. Considering high end wines from Alba will set you back considerably more I thought this was a very decent buy. Summer is coming and this is a good wine for grilling and other solid Summer food pursuits.
2)2008 Cantina Del Pino Barbaresco. $42. Granted a bit steep in the price department but if you want decent Nebbiolo you gotta pay the price! A little too manly for me but Madame Zajac loved it…You probably will too! Check out the show by clicking below!
